Our History

Since coming to the United States in 1942 as Dannon Milk Products, Inc., Danone North America has grown from a small yogurt business in the Bronx, New York, to the leading yogurt maker, largest producer of organic food and beverages, and biggest plant-based food and beverage company in the U.S. But our roots – and our focus on health and sustainability – reach back even further as part of Danone, our global parent company, which was founded more than 100 years ago.
