Medical Plans

We offer three medical plan options through Cigna – High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Savings, HDHP Plus, and Choice PPO – as well as two regional plan offerings – Kaiser Permanente (only available in California, Colorado, and Oregon) and SelectHealth (only available in Utah). These plans are designed to provide you with meaningful choices, so you can have the right amount of coverage that works for you and your family. 

All of the plans provide 100% coverage for in-network preventive care and cover the same medical services. The plans differ only by what you pay out-of-pocket and how they cover services. It’s up to you to decide which option is best for your unique lifestyle and coverage needs.

Cigna Medical Plans 

You and Danone share the cost of your medical benefits – the company pays a portion of the total cost and you pay the remainder. The amount you pay is a combination of your payroll deductions and the plan you choose. 

Here is an overview of what you will pay for common medical expenses under each plan. When you enroll in a Cigna medical plan, a variety of extra programs are included to support your health and wellbeing. Learn more about the programs included with Cigna Benefits.

1 Aggregate means that for family coverage (employee + dependent(s)), the entire family deductible must be met before the plan pays. In addition, the enter family out-of-pocket maximum must be met before the plan pays at 100%. 
2 Embedded means that for family coverage (employee + dependent(s)), the individual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum applies. Once a member hits the individual amount, the plan begins paying and will cover at 100% if the individual out-of-pocket is met for the individual. Once a combination of members meet the family deductible, the plan will pay at the coinsurance level for all covered family members and cover at 100% once the family out-of-pocket maximum is met. 
3 When radiology and lab are administered in an Outpatient setting, the claims are subject to the deductible and coinsurance. 
Note: There’s a limit to the amount your plan will pay for covered out-of-network services called the Maximum Reimbursable Charge (MRC). An out-of-network doctor or facility can bill you directly for any amount above your plan’s MRC. This is often referred to as “balance billing”. You will be responsible for paying that amount and these payments do not apply to your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.

Prescription Drug Coverage

When you enroll in a Danone Cigna medical plan, prescription drug coverage is automatically provided through CVS/Caremark. If you enroll in a regional medical plan, prescription drug coverage is available through either Kaiser Permanente or SelectHealth. Learn more

Supplemental Health Plans

Life doesn’t always go as expected. For these unforeseen circumstances, we provide a variety of optional additional benefits that are designed to help you and your family from the financial impact of a critical illness, injury, or hospital stay.
